Parents

Parents and Carers

One of our school's core values is the importance of parents and carers in the life of a child. That is why we value so highly the input, commitment and engagement of all the adults with children at the school.

As a parent or carer you are very welcome in our school. Adults are encouraged to help in school, either reading a book, talking about your profession or your national holidays. Also, if a parent or carer has a particular skill he/she would like to share with us we welcome their support.

Your input is highly valued by the school and can help us to build strong, meaningful relationships between staff and parents. With these relationships we can then really provide a firm, secure emotional base from which your children can succeed. At the heart of this approach is communication. We believe that when communication is effective between parents and school, a mutual trust develops and the children have the best chance to reach their individual potential.

  • We actively use Facebook page to update parents on what's going on at the nursery, important notices or announcements. Like and follow our page for regular updates.

  • We send out regular newsletters from the nursery and from the office by email to keep you updated on topics, events and any other news.

  • We use "My Montessori Child" interactive portal to share your child's learning journey. Every parent receives a log in and password which they can use to log into the portal to view the child's learning journey, leave comments, add observations from home as well as view our home learning suggestions which are generated based on the child's current interests. We also add messages, news and articles to the portal. You can ask questions in the Q&As section where a qualified early years specialis is helping parents with queries regarding sleep, behaviour, potty training and any other queries.

  • We invite parents to take part in our events - Christmas play, Mothers' and Fathers' Days, Family fun days and other events throughout the year. We also welcome parents to come and read for the children or talk about their professions.

Above all, you will find all our staff very approachable. If you have any concern, however trivial it might seem, please come and speak with us. We, for our part, will make sure that you are well informed about what is happening in the nursery school and, most important of all, ensure your child is well cared for and educated.
